TreeHouse Foods Announces Management Developments to Capitalize on Growth Opportunities; Appoints Moe Alkemade as Chief Strategy Officer

OAK BROOK, Ill., March 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (NYSE: THS) today announced that Rachel Bishop, currently Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, will assume the role of President of the Company's Snacks division. The TreeHouse Foods Snacks division is one of the largest private label manufacturers of snack nuts, trail mixes and bars, based on volume, in the United States. Keiran Kelly, currently President of the Snacks Division, will focus on the sales growth and development of the emerging online channel and several key customers.

The Company also announced today that Maurice ("Moe") Alkemade will join the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer and will report to Sam K. Reed, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Alkemade joins TreeHouse from Walgreens where he was most recently Group Vice President/General Manager – Convenience and had responsibility for the household, consumables and general merchandise categories. Prior to that, he was Group Vice President of Retail Brands and Global Sourcing, where he was responsible for creating and leading a team responsible for Walgreens' $5+ billion private brands business. Prior to that, Mr. Alkemade spent fifteen years with Kraft in a variety of sales and marketing roles of increasing responsibility, including customer relationship management, Asia Pacific and Canada. Mr. Alkemade holds a Bachelors in Business Management in finance and economics from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
